Lost in Munich
I’m pretty fussy about what I put out on the internet. I like to write my own text and avoid the tick lists of activities demanded by some other sites. In particular I am fussy about photographs. Of course I realise that I have to be seen, but I’m seldom comfortable posing for. shoots.
With all this in mind I spent a lot of time browsing the work of ‘erotic’ style photographers to see if any of them had a look that suited me.
Wandering Lens photography happened to come up on my feed over two years ago and his sensual style kind of set the standard for me. His take on light, shadow and texture had me spellbound and not only that, he managed to suggest the privacy of intimate moments without being obvious or in anyway vulgar.
Wandering Lens (Zsolt) lives in Austria but I realised that taking a trip overseas was a small price to pay to get the chance to work with him. After about a year of occasional messaging back and forth, the stars aligned and we decided on a date to meet up in Munich.
The shoot itself was a calm and fascinating experience; watching the creative process unfold. Over three hours flew by, with me lounging about and Zsolt doing all the hard work, experimenting with angles by darting about the room, standing on chairs and catching me via the full length mirror and somehow noticing details I had never thought about.
The only downside of the whole trip was catching a train in the opposite direction to the airport the next morning and consequently missing my plane. You know, you could accuse me of being a stereotypical blonde, but I like to think that my mind is busy with thoughts and ideas far beyond the simple mechanics of travel.
I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I enjoyed helping to create them.
